So i sat down the other day and figured out what i'm spending on my commute monthly. With gas prices as they are i figured i'm spending between $425 and $450 (that's including my parking spot gas and trains). is that not ridiculous? that's a lot of money to me. So i set out to find cheaper alternatives and guess what. There are several. the best option so far looks to be parking at a cheaper lot closer to work. the train costs the same to go an extra stop, and it's less in gas too. maybe a little more time sometimes, but i'm guessing it'll average out. And it could save me a couple hundred $ a month. So it begs the question: why didn't i look into this sooner? Maybe there's a better answer, here's the one i came up with: I Am An Idiot.
This is what my work parking lot looks like when i'm the last to leave. See the deer? They're usually there wandering around after everyone's gone.
