Waterfalls?

Monday night our ward was going to walk across Brooklyn Bridge to see the "waterfalls" built on the East River for the summer. Randy and i got tired of waiting though, so we just went by ourselves.

Good thing too, or else we would've missed the sunset on the bridge.

Here's the waterfall under the BB

We ran into the fabulous Rachael McOwen on the way over the bridge, so she decided to hang out with us and we decided to let her.

we ran into Jeff and Brittany as well. so randy took their photo.

Jeff accidentally found out what happens when you move before the night-scene-with-person-in-the-foreground shot is finished. it looked cool, so i got one too.

Blurry, but i like it anyway.

You can see another waterfall in the background. i didn't realize that until i put the pictures on the computer.

I love night scenery mode. except that if you want to be in it you have to hold really still or else you're blurry. good thing we're all so good at holding perfectly natural looking positions.

But then again, sometimes it's fun to be blurry. we got the kids playing in the sand box to join our photo shoot.

The President of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy happened to be sitting at one of the benches watching us take these photos (everyone there was. we were either really entertaining or really annoying) and gave me her card and said to email the good ones to her. so i did.

So what's the lesson? (Camera + mini tripod) + good scenery - rain + Rachael McOwen = good times.

if you want to see more, check out Randy’s pictures on facebook.
