Did you see this? It's the first time I've seen McCain actually be likeable. It came too late to help him become president, but i guess it's never too late to become a nice person. bravo, sir.
Don't you feel that the media has a great deal to do with the perceival of the candidates' likeability? Before the public got to know the candidates, a lot of the political analyst types really liked Mitt Romney. 'Very Presidential'. We read an article one of them wrote about him, that he was super smart, well spoken, ethical, had done a great job at everything he had put his hand to...etc. Almost a perfect candidate for president. The public never got to see that. The media picks and chooses what they want to emphasize about the various candidates. I feel like they chose Obama, and gullible Americans went along with it. His record is extremely liberal. I hope the combination of Obama and a liberal congress doesn't plunge the USA into socialism. That hasn't had good results anywhere it has been tried.
Oh, there's no doubt that the media has been in love with Obama since the beginning. But my opinion of McCain's nasty, not-a-nice-person-ness has come from seeing how he is in debates and how he has run his campaign, both in primary and presidential races, which are things i saw without a biased media filter.
He probably only had a speech prepared for a loss, cause he rocked it. If he could have only spoken like that during the campaign, instead of w/ that smug look on his face "oh you'll buy my chicken ohh".
